我们诚挚邀请新近获得或即将获得博士学位的优秀青年学者以WestlakeFellow的身份加入西湖大学，在这里提出自己的问题，选择自己的方向，组建自己的团队，探索真正属于自己的科学世界。

APPOINTMENTTERMS&SUPPORT
项目聘期与支持
WestlakeFellowsareappointedforafixedtermofthreeyears,withthepossibilityofonerenewalofuptoanadditionalthreeyears,subjecttoasuccessfulreview.ThestartdateisflexibleandmaybenegotiatedwiththeOfficeoftheWestlakeFellowProgramandtherelevantSchool.Fellowsreceiveaninternationallycompetitivesalaryandcomprehensivebenefits,togetherwithsubstantialstart-upresearchfundingtoestablishindependentlaboratoriesandbuildresearchteams.
Duringtheirappointment,Fellowshavenomandatoryclassroomteachingdutiesandarenotrequiredtodevotesignificanttimetosecuringcompetitiveresearchgrants,allowingthemtofocusfullyonfrontierandinnovativeresearch.Fellowsareneverthelessencouragedtopursueexternalfundingshoulditbenefittheirresearchandcareerdevelopment.
西湖青年学者实行三年固定聘期制，聘期结束后如因科研工作需要，可申请延长至多三年。入职时间可根据个人情况，与西湖卓越学者办公室及相关学院协商确定。学者将获得具有国际竞争力的薪酬待遇与完善的福利保障，并配备充足的科研启动经费，用于搭建独立实验室与组建研究团队。
在校期间，学者无需承担课堂教学任务，亦无需投入大量时间精力申请竞争性科研经费，从而能够专注开展前沿创新研究。同时，学者也可根据自身发展需要，自主争取外部科研经费支持。

ELIGIBILITY
申报条件
ApplicantsareabouttoreceiveaPhDorhaveobtainedaPhDwithinthepasttwoyears,asoftheapplicationdeadline,andhaven’theldatenure-trackortenuredfacultyposition(AssistantProfessor,AssociateProfessor,FullProfessor,orequivalent).Candidatesshoulddemonstrateexceptionalpromise,independence,andscientificmaturityduringtheirdoctoraltraining,andshowstrongmotivationtoexplorethefrontiersofscienceandengineering.Applicants'researchareamayinclude,butnotlimitedto:

申请人应即将获得博士学位或者已获得博士学位不超过2年，且未在其他学术机构以助理教授、副教授或正教授职位（或相当级别职位）工作。候选人应在博士阶段已取得重要的科学发现，展现出突出的科研潜力与独立性，并具备探索科学技术前沿问题的能力。招聘学科包括但不限于：
理学院：数学、物理学、化学、天文学和交叉学科等领域；
工学院：电子信息工程、材料科学与工程、人工智能、生物工程、化学工程、生物医学工程、环境工程和机械工程等领域；
生命科学学院：生物物理与结构生物学、细胞生物学、干细胞研究与治疗、神经与行为生物学、生物信息与计算生物学、衰老与退行性疾病以及癌症生物学等领域；
医学院：微生物学与疫苗、免疫学与炎症、生理学与代谢、肿瘤生物学与治疗、医学遗传学、临床医学、药学和公共健康学等领域。
